The Poker Face star was reportedly removed from a Delta flight out of Los Angeles hours after attending the Season 3 premiere of HBO’s Euphoria, and her response to the story is every bit as Natasha Lyonne as you would expect.
The Story
According to Page Six, an eyewitness account placed Lyonne on a Delta red-eye heading from Los Angeles to New York after the Euphoria premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Still dressed in pieces from her premiere outfit black stockings, oversized sunglasses, though she had switched into sneakers and a long black coat Lyonne appeared disoriented while seated in first class. When flight attendants asked her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt, she did not respond. Her laptop was eventually taken, and the plane taxied toward the runway before returning to the gate.
A Delta employee then boarded and asked whether she needed medical attention before requesting she exit the aircraft. Lyonne was reportedly overheard asking, “Where are we?” before standing up, walking to the bathroom, and calmly deboarding while eating a bag of pretzels. The plane departed for New York without her.
The incident also had a scheduling casualty. Lyonne had been booked as a guest on that Wednesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, which tapes in New York a booking she missed entirely because of the delay.
