Zuckerberg Reveals Muse Charm, New VR and Audio Glasses

Mark Zuckerberg closed Meta Connect 2026 with a surprise “one more thing”: Muse Charm, a fingerprint-activated, keychain-sized AI device built to give people a way to reach Meta’s Muse assistant without touching a phone.
It capped a keynote that also introduced new VR glasses and Meta’s first camera-free smart glasses.
Meta Muse Charm packs Muse’s full real-time voice and avatar stack into dedicated hardware, running on a roughly 2-inch OLED touchscreen navigated with a thumb.
Zuckerberg called it “holdable” rather than wearable: it fits in a palm, clips to a keychain, slides into a pocket, or attaches to a wrist or bag with a lanyard, inside a see-through case that shows off the internal electronics. Tapping the fingerprint sensor starts a conversation instantly, without unlocking a phone or opening an app.
Cameras, 5G, and a December Target
Meta Muse Charm has cameras on the front and back that capture photos and video, mainly to give Muse visual context for its AI-assisted actions, alongside a USB-C port, speakers, a microphone, and music and video playback.
Built-in 5G connectivity lets it work independent of a paired phone, though Meta hasn’t published a full specification sheet.
No pricing has been announced. Zuckerberg said only a handful of prototypes exist and the company is still finalizing hardware details, with a target of shipping by December.
Muse Charm doesn’t replace Muse’s existing agent architecture, which already runs on a dedicated cloud VM, browser access, connected apps, and user permissions; it simply gives that agent a faster, one-touch physical entry point.
Muse Charm wasn’t the only hardware Meta showed. The company also unveiled new Meta VR Glasses, a lighter-weight headset alternative aimed at portable immersive entertainment, and Ray-Ban Meta Audio, its first camera-free smart glasses, which handle music, calls, and Meta AI access through sound alone.
