Seattle Seahawks Name PayPal Official Fan-to-Fan Payments Partner

The Seattle Seahawks have made a significant off-field move, partnering with PayPal in a deal that makes the fintech giant the team’s official fan-to-fan payments and exclusive digital ticket payment processing partner. Announced on May 11, 2026, the multi-year agreement also makes the Seahawks the first NFL club partner for PayPal, following the company’s broader league-wide deal with the NFL in April.
The Seattle Seahawks PayPal fan-to-fan payments arrangement goes well beyond branding. PayPal will now serve as the presenting partner of the Seahawks’ Gameday Experience Program, which gives fans exclusive access to pregame field passes, on-field access during player introductions, and postgame press conference entry at every home game. It’s a deeper integration of payments tech into the live sports experience than most NFL teams have attempted.
For season ticket buyers, the deal brings a practical change too. The Seahawks have fully integrated PayPal’s payment processing platform with Ticketmaster, allowing fans to check out exclusively through PayPal, a first for the payments company within the NFL.
Ben Volk, SVP and General Manager of PayPal Consumer, framed the deal around the Seahawks’ famously loud fanbase. “PayPal is focused on building experiences that match that intensity, making it easier for fans to split tickets, send money, and pay for everything from pregame plans to postgame celebrations,” he said.
Seattle Seahawks Chief Revenue Officer Amy Sprangers welcomed the partnership, noting the team’s focus on innovation as a driving force behind the collaboration.
On the payments side, the deal activates several of PayPal’s core features. Fans can send and receive money via PayPal’s peer-to-peer platform across 110+ countries, use shareable payment links for group purchases, and even transfer funds between PayPal and Venmo, connecting PayPal users to over 100 million Venmo accounts in the U.S. from a single app.

With hundreds of millions of active accounts across 200 markets, PayPal is positioning itself as the go-to infrastructure for high-demand live event moments, from ticket purchases to in-stadium spending and postgame settlements between friends.
