Save AI chat notes, that simple need drives a surprisingly common frustration. Millions of people use multiple AI tools every day, but useful answers scatter across chat histories, broken copy-pastes, and forgotten browser tabs. Draft, which launched on Product Hunt today, builds a personal knowledge base from those scattered conversations.

Draft captures valuable answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, vertical chatbots, and others, then turns them into editable, searchable notes. It preserves formatting, organises insights, offers text-to-speech playback, keeps knowledge available offline, and allows sharing on the user’s own terms.

The workflow is deliberate and privacy-focused. A user opens any supported AI chat window, clicks the Draft browser extension, and the conversation saves as a local MHTML blob in the browser’s own storage. No cloud upload. No account required to start. The notes then become part of a personal, searchable workspace the user controls entirely.

Developer Jim Liu built Draft from his own frustration. He explained that he uses multiple AI chatbots every day, ChatGPT for brainstorming, Claude for coding, Gemini for video analysis, and specialised tools for narrow tasks. That workflow is powerful but messy, with useful answers ending up scattered across chat histories, tabs, screenshots, bookmarks, and broken copy-pastes.

Furthermore, the tool currently captures full conversation context, not just individual responses. A 30-second video tutorial demonstrates the one-click capture flow. The full Draft product listing on Product Hunt includes community feedback and discussions about upcoming features. You can also visit the Draft app directly to install the extension and try it without creating an account.

The app is free to use during its beta period, with the team prioritising early adopters for feature development. Liu has indicated plans to explore signals like thumbs-up and thumbs-down within AI platforms to help users decide what is worth saving automatically.
