Lev AI startup platform is entering the crowded startup tools market with a bold promise to help founders build companies faster. Notably, former Pioneer Square Labs managing director T.A. McCann leads the company as CEO. Furthermore, Lev positions itself as an AI-powered co-founder guiding entrepreneurs from idea validation to fundraising preparation. As a result, the platform combines AI agents, workflows, and startup frameworks into one structured system.
Additionally, Lev runs specialised AI agents and workflows that guide founders through multiple company-building stages. For example, the platform assists with competitive analysis, branding, and go-to-market strategy development. In other words, Lev handles tasks that traditionally require experienced startup advisors.
Meanwhile, the product operates through four core pillars designed to support early-stage founders continuously. Specifically, these include a venture canvas, a PSL-based chat interface, an idea evaluation framework, and task management tools. Together, these features function like a structured mentor available around the clock.
Moreover, PSL and its AI Studio Fund have invested more than $1 million into Lev’s development. The company incorporated as a Delaware C Corp in late March this year. Currently, McCann remains the sole full-time employee, supported by three development contractors. Meanwhile, PSL co-founder Greg Gottesman serves on Lev’s board.
Importantly, the timing behind Lev’s launch appears highly strategic within today’s changing technology industry landscape. McCann specifically targets “zero to one” founders attempting to transform ideas into funded startups. At the same time, widespread technology layoffs are pushing experienced professionals toward entrepreneurship. Consequently, the AI co-founder for startups model addresses a rapidly growing market need.
Finally, McCann revealed he is personally coding again using Cursor and Claude Code to ship features weekly. Notably, that hands-on approach is uncommon for executives at his experience level. Nevertheless, it highlights how seriously he views Lev’s long-term potential. Currently, the platform remains free with hundreds of active users and planned freemium subscriptions arriving soon..
