UK Fintech Firm Icon Solutions Receives Prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise
UK payments fintech Icon Solutions has been honoured with the King’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category, one of the most coveted business accolades in the United Kingdom. The announcement was made on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, placing the London-based company among a select group of organisations recognised nationally this year.
Icon Solutions is one of only a select few organisations nationally to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise in 2026, with the honour recognising the company’s outstanding achievement in Innovation and its work addressing one of the banking sector’s most complex challenges, modernising payments technology.
The company was founded in 2009 in Wimbledon, London by Ben Hallifax, Darren Capehorn and Tom Kelleher, driven by a shared belief that it should be simpler and safer for banks to modernise their payments technology. Since then, Icon Solutions has carved out a serious global reputation working with some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
