HashiCorp Launches HCP Terraform with Infragraph in Public Preview

HashiCorp has announced that HCP Terraform powered by Infragraph is now entering public preview, marking a significant step toward giving platform teams a real-time, unified view of their entire cloud estate.
The announcement came at IBM Think 2026. Starting May 8, qualified US HCP Terraform customers can access the preview directly from their HCP organization dashboard.
The problem Infragraph solves is familiar to most platform teams. Hybrid and multi-cloud environments scatter infrastructure data across silos. According to HashiCorp research, most companies use five or more services to manage their cloud landscape. Pulling together an accurate snapshot requires consolidating data from multiple ecosystems, often through manual and time-consuming processes. By the time the picture is ready, it is already outdated.
That static view, HashiCorp argues, creates serious downstream problems. Security patching slows down. Unexpected cost spikes go undetected until the bill arrives. Meanwhile, AI-powered attacks exploit vulnerabilities faster than legacy approaches can respond.
Infragraph addresses this with a centralized, event-driven knowledge graph. Rather than relying on periodic data pulls, assets update through direct connections into AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises systems. Terraform Search is also available for deeper or custom data streams. The result is a living map of the infrastructure estate, not a snapshot.
In practice, this means CloudOps, platform, and security teams can query their infrastructure using natural language. They can identify unmanaged resources, spot outdated Terraform versions, and track ownership without manually stitching data together. The platform also lays groundwork for AI-driven automation of key workflows in the future.
HCP Terraform powered by Infragraph represents a shift from ad-hoc infrastructure management to something closer to autonomous operations. Rather than reacting to problems after they surface, teams gain the real-time context to act before things escalate.
To get started, existing HCP Terraform customers can log in to their HCP organization and click the Infragraph tile. Full setup documentation is available at HashiCorp’s developer portal. Teams can also sign up for Infragraph updates to stay informed as the preview evolves.
