Grafana Cloud Custom Dashboards for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

Monitoring cloud infrastructure is only useful when dashboards match how your team actually works. Grafana Cloud has just made that significantly easier.
Cloud Provider Observability in Grafana Cloud ships with prebuilt dashboards and drill-downs for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Out of the box, teams get service overviews, instance-level views, and quick links to explore data. But not every team needs the same view. Some already trust their own dashboards. Others need views tailored to their workflow, or different panels when drilling into a single instance.
Now, Grafana Cloud lets teams customise all of that without leaving the app.
The new feature offers three clear ways to make service views work for your team.
Option one: Connect an existing dashboard. If a team already has an internal dashboard for a service, say, an RDS or Lambda view, they can attach it as a quick link. They can also set it as the default. The preconfigured dashboard stays available. Teams simply add their own options and choose which one leads.
Option two: Generate a dashboard with AI. Teams without a ready-to-use dashboard can use the “Generate with AI” flow directly from the configure page. This builds a new dashboard with the right variables and RED/USE-style panels. The Grafana Assistant then links back to the configure page. From there, teams add the AI-generated dashboard to their quick links and set it as default. It can be updated anytime.
Option three: Edit the instance drill-down view. When a user clicks into a single instance, one RDS instance, one Lambda function, one VM, the app shows a drill-down view. Teams can now control which panels appear, add custom queries, reorder panels, and adjust units and legend formats. Once saved, that custom layout applies consistently across Cloud Provider Observability, Database Observability, the entity graph, and alerts.
All three options live in one place. The service’s configure page. From the Services tab, clicking Configure for any cloud service, Amazon RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, Azure Virtual Machines, and more, opens that central hub.
The core benefit is consistency. Teams define what they see when drilling into a resource once, and that view stays the same across every surface where that resource appears. They keep premade views where they fit, plug in custom or AI-generated dashboards where they want a different entry point, and control the per-instance experience throughout.
Together, these Grafana Cloud Provider Observability customisation options give engineering teams far greater control over their AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud monitoring, without rebuilding from scratch or switching between tools to get there.
Grafana Cloud offers a free forever tier for teams ready to get started with metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards today.
