Blitzy Raises $200M at $1.4B Valuation for Autonomous Software Development

The race to automate enterprise software development just got a fresh injection of capital. Blitzy, an autonomous software development startup based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has raised $200 million in a funding round that values it at $1.4 billion, making it the latest company to secure major investor backing to streamline coding for large enterprises with the help of AI.
Northzone led the round, with participation from PSG, Battery Ventures, Jump Capital, and strategic backers including Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures and Erie Strategic Ventures.
Building What Frontier Models Alone Cannot Deliver
Blitzy claims its platform autonomously completes months of software development, including automated testing and quality validation, and says it increases engineering velocity by 5x for some of the world’s largest enterprises.
The company says it was built on the conviction that large language models alone would not solve enterprise-grade development challenges that production-ready code at scale requires deep understanding of legacy codebases combined with hyperscaled agent orchestration. Its technology has been adopted by dozens of Global 2000 enterprises across 10 industries, including State Street and QAD.
Co-founders Brian Elliott, a former Army Ranger and previously founder of Wove, and Sid Pardeshi, an Nvidia alum who holds more than 27 patents related to neural networks and AI-driven interface translation, started Blitzy in 2023. The Blitzy autonomous software development funding valuation lands in a crowded but fast-moving field.
Competitors include Anysphere the maker of Cursor which has raised $3.4 billion and is reportedly the subject of a $60 billion SpaceX acquisition option, as well as Replit, valued at $9 billion after a $400 million Series D, and Swedish vibe coding startup Lovable, which closed a $330 million Series B at a $6.6 billion valuation. As reported by Crunchbase News, the enterprise AI coding space is drawing capital at a remarkable pace.
