Semafor’s Silicon Valley & The World Global Advisory Board
Semafor is launching a multiday Silicon Valley conference modelled on Davos and the Aspen Ideas Festival, but built for the AI age. The event debuts in November.
It aims to connect AI builders with the government, financial and industry leaders who use the technology to shape national strategies and regulation.
The co-chairs include Jensen Huang of NVIDIA, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Lisa Su of AMD, Divesh Makan of ICONIQ and Ruth Porat of Alphabet and Google.
The advisory board also includes Daniela Amodei of Anthropic and Patrick Collison of Stripe.
Why Africa’s Voice Matters
“Looking forward to bringing an African perspective to this global dialogue.” – GB Agboola, on X
Agboola said he will champion alignment between the leaders building AI, the policymakers regulating it and the businesses deploying it on the ground.
That last group matters for Africa. AI is increasingly shaping payments, commerce and financial services across the continent, and Flutterwave sits at the centre of that shift.
Semafor says the goal is to bridge the gap between Silicon Valley and the international entrepreneurs, politicians and business leaders trying to implement its technology.
A seat at the table gives African priorities such as infrastructure, talent and fair regulation a better chance of being heard early.
The November event will show how much space those priorities get on the global AI agenda.
